COCOPAH Frontier Week Song
8/12/2009
COCOPAH Song
to the tune of Visions of Paradise(Mick Jagger)
There is a place
We know as Owego
It’s our summer home
For two months each year
A bond here is forged that few can understand
We all bleed blue and white
United as one final flames burning bright
Throughout these summer nights
This camp is where we all have
The times of our lives
Our summer home could be mistaken for Paradise
All winter long
Owego is in our hearts
Where boys, come each year to discover themselves
Our family is here as together we cry
While the embers fly high
We have fought these four days Cocopah our tribe
Tonight we reunite
And we’ll be the last tribe standing
Our fire burns bright
Our names on the plaque all our hard work has paid the price
These summer weeks go to quickly
It’s so hard to leave
Our summer home that is similar to paradise
Owego
Our summer home
Follow your heart, use your head
On long winter nights in our beds
We find ourselves aching for you
Owego can’t come to soon
So don’t tell me when I should come on home
And there, might be a time that I can’t be around
So where would we be without these
These summer nights
No wonder Owego’s mistaken for paradise
Paradise
Paradise
Paradise
Owego Our paradise
