If you ever had to wonder what Lake Owego means to the campers, the staff, the alumni, you only need to look as far as the lyrics to the Frontier Week songs and the Olympic Captains’ speeches. They tell the story of the little boys who were scared at the beginning and now could not imagine their lives without their summers at Owego. They say how camp has changed them, they have brothers they never thought they would have. They express what they cannot say in words, but through the songs they choose and the lyrics they write, they tell the story of family, friendship and everlasting memories. These songs say, what makes Lake Owego Camp so special.
A month has passed since the end of camp but, we are all wishing we were still there. We hope you enjoy reading the songs of Frontier Week 2014 and it takes you back to Greeley, PA. Make sure to visit vimeo.com/lakeowegocamp to view the live performances from each tribe as well as many other amazing camp memories.
