# Lake Owego Camp: All-Boys Sleepaway Summer Camp in the Pocono Mountains of Greeley, PA

> Lake Owego Camp is an all-boys, traditional overnight sleepaway camp for campers roughly ages 7-17, in the Pocono Mountains of Greeley, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1961 by Hughie and Selma Black and their children, Lake Owego is part of a family camp organization going back to 1931, now in its 4th generation. Lake Owego has been co-directed since 2016 by Jeff "Freedo" Freedman and Kyle Silver, with Director Emeritus Shelly Silver. The camp's program spans athletics, outdoor adventure, creative arts, and aquatics on a private lake, with a strong "brotherhood" theme. Lake Owego is accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA) and is sister camp to the all-girls Camp Timber Tops and coed Pine Forest Camp, both part of the same family camp organization.
